At WWE TLC, Sasha Banks will put her SmackDown Women’s Title on the line against Carmella.
For weeks, “The Untouchable One” has unleashed a series of sneak attacks on The Boss. In response, Banks surprised Mella during one of her backstage vignettes and unleashed an all-out assault of her own, locking her in the Bank Statement until the she was pulled away by WWE personal.
This resulting interview between the two of them had to be carried out with the two Superstars in separate locations due the high probability that things would turn volatile. Out of that confrontation, a showdown was established for the WWE TLC pay-per-view.
Six-time World Champion Sasha Banks is truly a dangerous titleholder, making history time and time again whether it be in Hell in a Cell, a WWE Iron Woman Match or simply in a one-on-one contest for the ages. Nevertheless, despite the glamour of Carmella, there is also no denying that Mella is still money. She boasts an impressive title resume of her own as a former SmackDown Women’s Champion with wins over elite competitors like and Charlotte Flair and Asuka.
Will Carmella prove untouchable against The Boss? Don’t miss WWE TLC, streaming live Sunday, Dec. 20, at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network.

NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai has declared that NXT is hers now, and one former stalwart of the black-and-gold brand is out to prove otherwise. Shirai will face Sasha Banks in a non-title match on Wednesday night at The Great American Bash.
Banks and Bayley — two former NXT Women’s Champions in their own right — returned to the black-and-gold brand two weeks ago, successfully defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart.
Shirai offered anything but a warm welcome, clearing the ring of Banks and Bayley with blistering offense.
Banks fired back on Twitter, insisting there would be no NXT for Shirai to lay claim to without “The Golden Role Models.” The Legit Boss challenged Shirai to a one-on-one bout, though it’s clear she doesn’t plan on coming alone, as SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will be by her side.

The Genius of the Sky responded, sounding more than happy to oblige, and NXT General Manager William Regal made things official.

At WrestleMania, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will have her hands full when she battles five Superstars in a Six-Pack Challenge Elimination Match on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Recently, the outspoken duo of Bayley and Banks came before the WWE Universe to proclaim that no one past, present or future would touch them in the squared circle. They also had the audacity to state that the Women’s Evolution is over and that the self-proclaimed Role Models’ Era of Dominance has begun.
Those claims did not sit too well with many female competitors. Paige, one of the true pioneers of the groundbreaking Women’s Evolution, made a jaw-dropping announcement on SmackDown. As a result, she got the titleholder and The Boss to scream for her when the former SmackDown General Manager used her clout to establish a SmackDown Women’s Title Match at The Showcase of the Immortals in which Bayley will take on, not only her best friend Sasha, but also Lacey Evans, Tamina, Dana Brooke and Naomi.
Find out who will emerge from the chaos with the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania 36 is Too Big for Just One Night! Don’t miss an historic two-night presentation, streaming on WWE Network with former New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski hosting The Show of Shows at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5.

As the first bearers of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Sasha Banks & Bayley have vowed to defend their titles anywhere against anyone. And at WrestleMania, they will indeed face just about everyone when they square off against the up-and-coming IIconics, the dominant Nia Jax & Tamina and two Superstars who helped pave the way for the Women’s Evolution, Beth Phoenix & Natalya, in a Fatal 4-Way Match.
The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection made history by outlasting five of WWE’s best female tandems in a grueling Elimination Chamber to become the inaugural champions, and they followed up that emotional triumph by overcoming Nia Jax & Tamina at WWE Fastlane in their first title defense. Together, they have thrown down the gantlet to all potential challengers as they set out to prove themselves as fighting champions and establish a proud legacy.
However, at The Showcase of the Immortals, legacy itself will be standing in their way. Known as the “Divas of Doom” when they teamed up several years ago, The Queen of Harts & The Glamazon ran roughshod over their fellow Superstars during a dominant run just prior to the Women’s Evolution. The other six Superstars will undoubtedly have their hands full against Natalya & Beth, who used an impressive range of painful submission holds to fold their opponents like accordions during their first go-round as partners.
If that wasn’t enough, the match will include the ultra-dangerous Australian tag team of Billie Kay & Peyton Royce, who not only have the natural chemistry that comes from having known each other since high school, but have also proven themselves to be the real deal week in and week out. The deadly Australians even claimed a non-title victory over the champions on the March 19 edition of SmackDown LIVE. Without a doubt, WrestleMania could prove to be their moment of destiny.
Although Nia Jax & Tamina came up short against Bayley & Banks WWE Fastlane, they made the titleholders suffer in a brutal post-match assault that allowed them to walk out as anything but losers. They reminded the WWE Universe and their fellow Superstars why they are dominance personified and stand as the near-perfect combination of power and ruthlessness. Although the intimidating combination did not etch their place in history as the first titleholders, they have made it clear that they will stop at nothing to become the definitive champions on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Will Bayley & Banks have what it takes to overcome the past, present and future? Don’t miss WrestleMania, Sunday, April 7, streaming live the award-winning WWE Network at 7 ET/4 PT!
